I was outside tending to my chicks today and noticed some "strange" scat (pebbles) on the ground. I was wondering if anyone out there knew what kind of animal leaves "coco-puff" sized droppings? Just want to make sure my boys & girls aren't being visited/stalked by something sinister. :confused:Thank you so much in advance for any thoughts. (Sorry no photo...the baby kept trying to play in the scat, so I thought better of it). [IMG]

Sounds like it could be a variety of things. Rabbits, sheep, goats, and deer all leave that kind of dropping!!

My first thought is a cottontail rabbit. Don't know of any predator that would have scat as you described.

Sounds like a rabbit. And unless you have the Monty Python variety, I'm sure nothing to worry about, lol.

We do have wild rabbits and deer. Thanks everyone!! Just happy to know it's not something planning on making a meal out of my group!! You have put my mind at ease, THANK YOU!! I was worried for a moment because we do have coyote and I was hoping none would be that close to the house!! <sigh of relief> Thank you again!!
