    I don't have my own eggs yet, but I did purchase duck eggs for the first time. Oh, they are absolutely divine! I made plain old basic from scratch pancakes--best pancakes ever. Just pulled a cinnamon coffee cake out of the oven, can't wait to taste! Next use for them will be cornbread. I think I'd love anything baked with duck eggs.

    Rainy day. Baking day! Pumpkin Bundt cake, Bread and a Leek Asparagus Quiche. Oh and a cheese omelet for breakfast. No wonder I'm a "little" overweight. <sigh>

    We hardly have eggs left for us, friends buys it all, we had some since our layers up their production, wife made some quiche, was to die for.[​IMG]

    Today I baked whole wheat bread for this week's sandwiches and mixed a batch of a no knead kinda sourdough Boule dough that can be shaped and baked when needed. The dough supposedly keeps in the fridge for about two weeks, but hasn't lasted long enough to be sure.

    Unfortunately not one egg was sacrificed in the effort. <sigh>
