What do the broodys have?

    Picked up a chick at the feed store so my two broodys would stop fighting over the one surviving chicken. Any idea what we got? Pink skin, 4 toes, clean legs, looks like a pea or rose comb, fuzzy cheeks. 20190711_163948.jpg 20190711_164012.jpg

    That's a rosecomb...my guess is Silver Laced Wyandotte...unless some gold develops...then Gold Laced Wyandotte. Both colors can look pretty similar in the first few days but the gold develops.

    Did the broody hens take the chick in? I tried that with my broody hen once and ended up with chicks to raise on my own. :rolleyes:
