Hey there! Anyone know their nuts? Take a peek at pic and tell me what you see! Found in CT. My guess is chestnut. It was housed in a very prickly shell. Be specific, as I know its a Nut! Lol thanks!!

DH and I have found the easiest way to remove the shell is to cut an "X" in the top and put it in a bit of boiling water. Drain the water off and then remove the shell (and don't burn your fingers)!

These look like horse chestnuts or maybe Buckeyes. That's what I've always called them, but there is a difference between the two even thought they are very similar in appearance. The trees that they come from are different.
