This is Paige, our new Amerucana. She's munching on some bread.

Hatcherys only sell EEs, they sell them as 'Ameraucanas' or 'araucana' but they are not pure, they are mutts with the green egg gene

I would also be interested to know what that color is called. I have a couple of EE that same color. Love my EE girls!

    Nice Looking Bird.

To clarify, your "EE" COULD be an Ameraucana, just a mix of 2 different colors. And EE can be anything that lays an unusual color of egg. (And sometimes not even that... [IMG] )

If I had to guess a color, I would say that it is CLOSEST to a Buff Columbian, but that is not an APA accepted color of Ameraucana. (It isnt exactly a Buff Columbian, but it is sort of close. [IMG] .)

The coloring looks all most like a Buff Columbian pattern..

I know the vet. purchased her from an on-line hatchery as a chick. It's nice to know she has some sort of name to her pattern.
