Tervuren
Songster
I’m not in any rush, but I am excited! Based on the pics how long would you say I have until eggs?
I have a Bielefelder, Cream Legbar, Easter Egger, Australorp, and Silver Dorking. (Nettie, Fancy, Ada, Amelia, and Dora respectively) The girls hatched on April 6th, so they are 17 weeks and 3 days. The combs/wattles are getting redder and bigger, and I swear I heard one of them singing something that sounded awfully like an egg song yesterday. Nettie and Dora kind of crouch when I pet them, but they don’t stay in place for long.
I am aware that I don’t have the fastest maturing breeds, so I’m not expecting eggs that soon, but what can I say I’m excited! And it is fun to guess when the eggs are coming and who will lay first! My guess is Amelia the Australorp. What do you all think?
