Bought these as a Light Sussex pair. Boy in front? Was told they were 4-5 weeks old but she wasn't sure and they are definitely fully feathered. I think they're older. Any guesses?

I think the boys in the back and the girls in the front.

Wow, now that I look again, that's a lousy pic. One of them is considerably bigger and has more comb developed. Any guess on age?

They look about half the size of my 12 week old mutts. But I understand that Lt. Sussex are bigger chickens?

Quote:I wish! My hens always laid closer to 7 months old and my roosters crowed at 6 months.

I must be too used to my silkies then! Lol maybe 2 months old? Do you have a better close up picture?

My guess is 6 weeks old and 1 each, male and female. Do I hear the scratch-scratch of little stick legs...

They both look like pullets to me, prob around 4-5 weeks.
