    [​IMG]In the middle, standing on the feeder is a little chick we picked up from Agway. If you enlarge the pic, you can see more of the back. She, we hope, was in the section of Ameracuana/Araucanas. What do you think she is?

    Probably an Easter Egger. Any time you see a bin labeled Ameraucana/Araucana, it's guaranteed the chicks are Easter Eggers. Ameraucana and Araucana are two different breeds. And color is always specified with either breed.

    Thank you. I didn't realize EE was it's own breed. of mixed. Now I have to hope for hens!

    Easter Eggers are basically what the Ameraucana and the Araucana breeds were derived from. They are more of a landrace type rather than a proper breed.
