    My cat caught and killed this. It was only about six inches long. Male I think?

    That's a weasel and your cat deserves a special meal for ending it's life.

    Yup, weasel. I've never seen one in the wild....... but I have 2 in my hallway........ ferrets that is....... [​IMG] amazing how much they look alike!

    You better be on guard in case there are more around. My sister had a weasel kill over 20 of her chickens last spring.
    Your cat truly is a chicken hero. Did you check him (the cat) for bites or injuries? Weasels are nasty.

    That is not a weasel,it's a stoat.Same family though,stoats are alot smaller than weasels,but they are just as deadly.
