What does everyone do with their cockerels?

You can ask on your state thread of anyone knows of a poultry processor. Or try posting in the Meat Bird forum. If you happen to live in MA, NH or ME I know of several.

Thank you keesmom! I am in BC, Canada so a little ways away I am going to post on fb, kijiji and craigslist right now and also look into the poultry processing.

My children's music teacher just told me that she knows of local petting zoos that will take Roos. And to let her know when mine are old enough to sex. I thought that was interesting.

When I get over run with roosters I take mine to the local livestock auction. You can do a search on the internet to find the closest one to you. Good luck.

I am awaiting on 30 straight runs.....20 are a brown egg mix....once it becomes obvious, 1 rooster of each type will be granted clemency for breading......the remaining will join the other 10 Cornish Rocks in that really really cold coop.

I'm going to try the No Crow collar on our newly discovered rooster. He's almost 8 weeks, so I have some time. If that doesn't work, I like the suggestions of Fb and Craigslist.
