What does Metzer Farms do with their old breeding stock?

    I did a quick search here on BYC and on their website but came up empty handed. Does anybody know what they do with them? I know that John sometimes posts here on BYC, so maybe he will chime in...

    my guess is they clear them out to a processor. (Try not to be too shocked if it's true, it's what every hatchery likely does.)

    I have no problem with that. They are their birds, they can do what they want with them. I just didn't know if they offered them for sale to the general public first?

    I heard metzer's doesn't butcher their birds? Not sure, but I could have sworn I heard that somewhere....
