I am new to all of this, I have read that when they are close they will squat or lay when you get near them. Stupid question but does this look like? My girls are just walking around when I go into their run. Any videos of this?

You will know when they start squatting for you. They will bend down & spread their wings out & raise their butt in the air.

My hens never squat for me. They only squat for their rooster after he does the rooster dance and then mounts them.

They don't really do it on their own, it's more when you approach. It's like a tensing, hover above the ground, wings slightly pushed back and out and they freeze. Kind of like a kid in the middle of freeze dance. You'll know it when you see it!
