I am wanting to make a small house for some chickens. I know a lot of people use a dog house and I have made some houses out of wood by myself but I was wondering what other options there are to use that I won't have to build. Maybe a little construction to make it work but the structure complete.
I wouldn't mind a dog house just can't find one.

I have seen some made out of those playskool kiddie houses. They were modified and actually looked pretty neat.

I use a 12x8 dog kennel. I put a plywood roof over only half of it, and chicken wire over the other half. I also put plywood walls along the back half under the roof. The lay boxes are under the roof. I live in Southern California so it never really gets too cold. There's enough room for me to walk around in it. It's six foot high, so not enough room for me to stand all the way up in, I'm 6'5"....

WOW! Gramakoko, that is a great deal! It is so cute. I wish there was something like that around here. I have looked on there for days and there hasn't been anything much.

$40 holy cow! Nothing even remotely close to that coop would be selling for that price here. You can't get a junk box for $40 here :(
