Not one, but two GSDs ready and willing to give their lives to protect him.
The one on the right (Jax) seems to have surrendered.
Quote:Jax gives up barking at cows when GS is here. He'd much rather sit and watch cartoons with him.
Quote: I luckily have a German shepard as well. Funny, we named him Benny after Pope Benidict the 16th. If you don't get it, the Pope is German. A friend of mine has a shirt that says "I love my German Shepard" and it has a picture of the Pope.
My aunt had a Shepard who was the same way, I swear that dog was born trained. Lucky boy to have great dogs to grow up with!
Quote:Jax didn't require a whole lot of training. The breeder advised us to just love him and show him what we wanted him to do. The protection factor comes naturally. We did have a little bit of work with Jax because we weren't his first "parents". A deputy had bought him, brought him home and stuck him in an outdoor kennel with next to nothing for human interaction.
Kane we didn't have to teach a dang thing. He watched Jax and learned. We didn't even have to housebreak him.
They are brothers and cousins. They share a sire and their mothers are full sisters.
Quote:Only in the South
Oops did I type that? Slipped right by my brain/finger filter.
What does your DH think about loosing his dog to a youngster?
