Biddies is a term most likely used to describe chicks, as in "a hen and her little biddies", but some folks also refer to all hens as biddies....as in "those ladies at the checkout were sure a coupla old biddies!" [IMG]

I use the term "biddies" as an affectionate name for my hens... I don't know if this is the common usage or not...[IMG] but it just sounds like a nice name to call them. [IMG]

A lot of older people here refer to chicks as biddies. It is also used to describe old ladies (usually talking in a group).
