    Hey folks,

We bought some silkie chickens recently and waiting to find out the gender. We live in seattle and our hao says no roasters D: Sad because these chicks are very friendly and the kids love them. Took some pictures today of the girls (hoping girls) and maybe some silkie experts might be able to help. They were born 02/10/17 so i guess there about 7 weeks tomorrow. I heard they are very hard to sex but i think its worth a shot :)
The grey one is Princess sweet pea, the buff is Nugget and the black Godzilla

    Thanks :D[IMG]

Good Luck with that, some even have trouble with near adult silkies.

I agree you will need to wait a few months yet.

They are too young now. I'm sure you'll have some hens.

Too young to sex. No obvious cockerels yet, though.

Much too young but, I would keep an eye on Nugget, the comb looks pretty wide for a pullet.. But, this is just a guess. 4-5 mos. is usually the earliest you can ID gender with some authority.
