I want to guess pullet. BR cockerals are lighter, aren't they? And at 22 weeks (give or take) I'd think you'd have heard *him* crow by now.

Yes, the cockerels tend to be grey versus black and tend to have wider bars on them .

She's only half BR so if she was a male she'd only got one barred gene and would of been barred like a BR pullet instead of the lighter cockerels.
