What gender is my chicken

I have a two month old white leghorn chicken and was wondering what gender it is

Cockerels at that age can be friendly one day and turn mean the next. His hormones are about to kick in. Make sure children don’t hold him anywhere close to their faces. They could get pecked in the eye. Your child seems to be aware of that already by holding him at a distance.
I haven’t had good luck with White Leghorn cockerels, they’ve all turned mean on me and I had to get rid of them. I hope you have better luck with yours.

Update the chicken has started to crow so I guess it is a rooster
