My Banty Autumn hatched about 4 weeks ago, and she's the only Banty we've ever had. I'm pretty sure she's a bb red old English, but not entirely.
For a while we've thought she was a girl, but she's suddenly getting a lot of black feathers on her chest. My mom thought that since she has so many brown feathers she would probably be a girl, since the hens are all brown an the roosters are darker, but I know they can change a lot in a short period of time.
I really hope she's a hen... We can't keep her if she turns out to be a he [IMG], our neighbors don't like the crowing. They issued a noise complaint.[IMG]
Can you tell what gender she/he might be?
    Here are some pics:

From what little I can see of the comb, it seems very red and large at 4 weeks so probably a cockerel. If you have any comb pictures, could you post those?

oh my thats' a really red comb.... I hope it's a girl but from the hundreds of posts I have read on this site about roosters, that comb this early would be a roo...

    Bailey, Mississippi.
Silver duckwing cockerel. Color at age; dead give away. The comb just solidifies it.
