I got this chicken for my birthday, I’ve had it for almost 3 months now, I’ve had it since it was very little, now that it’s growing everyone says it’s a rooster because of it’s long legs but I’ve watched YouTube videos about their breed and most Rhode Island Red roosters already have their red comb and wattles at 7 weeks & the hens only had a pinkish tone In their face which is my chickens case. If anyone can tell me I’d appreciate it, I almost have to let my Canela (cinnamon) into my uncles little ranch & if it’s a rooster I’ll be very scared for other rooster to try & fight it, my chicken is very innocent it’s only been around other chicken 1time so she knows nothing about defending herself 😭 Thank you for your time 222A5743-1CE1-4159-8E27-0C7A217B2516.jpeg C87C6D66-2917-4E68-B5F5-0557BF788B25.jpeg

Female? How old, exactly? And why don’t you keep her with other chickens? She will be really lonely.

I had the best pair of RIR last year raising chicks and it was so fun! It was my first time too and I was promised pullets but for a long time I thought one was a roo because her development and attitude was so sassy just from a few days old. Once you figure that breed you will have a much easier time! Go week by week , or I did day by day and look at any changes such a wattle development, redding comb, ect . This site helped a lot just comparing pictures , save them and compare next to each other makes learning a bit easier! Also , when grown my Louise would caw like a parrot every morning when she saw my open the blinds from my room and I def thought roo but turned out that I had 2 pullets Thelma and Louise who unfortunately a few weeks back fought off a raccoon , didn’t make it :-( .
You can Messages me I have their pictures still from few days old to full grown! I can show you the comparison because they look so different from another but both ended up pullets!
Try and post some more pictures closer up of possible! Good Luck!

Looks like a pullet to me.
I have two red star pullets which are RIR & leghorn mixes.
These are my two girls. (About 12 weeks old)
