What Gender is my silkie.

    What gender is my 3 month old silkie. we thought he/she was a he because he is quite big, lately though he/she has been acting motherly to a younger chick that is tiny e.g. sitting on her like a mother hen(very funny since we thought he/she was a roo. What gender is he/she

    I think it's a girl. A boy would have less fluff and more comb on its head by 3 months I think.

    looks girly to me, but I had a rooster (the one in my avatar) that would mother chicks of any kind, even turkey poults

    It looks like a pullet to me, by that age my cockerel had a raised comb and not as much fluff.
