My little girl, at least that's what my local store said she was, may not be. I'm very new to chickens. My friend has had chickens for a couple years and came over and told me that my white leghorn is a BOY! What?? I bought 7 different chicks that were born April 10th. So, they are not quite 3 weeks old yet.

Can someone confirm if this is a boy or girl ? My intention was to only buy girls, so this is quite shocking.

While it's too soon to be 100% certain at this young age, yes, I do think based on comb and feet that's most likely a cockerel.

You could get a cockerel even in sexed pullets--vent sexing is only 90% accurate and most hatcheries will only guarantee that 90% rate.

Don't give up yet, though--my white Leghorns have the world's largest combs, so big they droop over their eyes. They had quite a bit of comb at three weeks, too. Give him/her a couple of more weeks if you can and then ask again.
