What gender is this silkie? quality?

    I have this silkie aged 6 month or so.. Can any expert confirm the gender? Also comment on the quality of the birds..
    Few points..
    - It's not laying or crowing..

    At 6 months that's a pullet I think. It's average quality, probably hatchery sourced? Though some hatcheries have better silkies than others.

    But I have not seen the roo cross/ mount iteither.. Is it too early?

    Could be too early. Generally roosters will start mating hens about a month before they start to lay. Some silkies can take until 7-8 months to start laying eggs.
