BIG comb, I'd guess cockerel. Prefer though to see bird facing front with crest held back to display full extent of comb. From the side the comb looks bulbous like a toad sitting there.
Stormy's comb is pretty round and bulbous. Here is a picture from straight on. Is it possible for a silkie to have a larger comb and wattles and still be a hen. From what I see it seems the hens really do not have them. I ask because I have an older white silkie, around 4.5 months old that has a much rounder crest than this little grey one, but he/she has never crowed. We assumed "Han Solo" was a rooster due to the comb and wattles. What do you think.
