Good afternoon, I am having trouble telling whether this is a male or female. Was told at pet shop was about 3 months old and female. Stands more upright than my other hen. Help much appreciated. Thank you.

It appears to be a young rooster, buff cochin.

He's a handsome little guy. [IMG]

If it's 3 months, I'm thinking pullet. My cochin males announce much earlier than this.

Can we get a straight profile shot?

    Hello all,

I have attached an updated picture. About 7 months old. No eggs or crowing at this point. I am still not sure of the gender. Any thoughts?

    Thank you

He's a boy. Cochins can just be a bit slower to mature.
