A full body shot, the approximate age and the breed(s) - if known - will help us answer this question for you. This picture alone is not sufficient, unfortunately, to determine your bird's sex.
The comb is too red for that young age to be a pullet. A single comb bird anyway. Wyandotte rose combs can fool you but pretty sure that's a cockerel.
It looks like a black austrolop hen but to be sure you might would want to try sexing it
I would lean towards pullet, but age would help.
I'm thinking pullet.
