What happen if baby chicks eat some pine litter?

I just got my baby chicks. I have a sheet over the pine litter, but I see that they have pecked at some of it. What happens if they eat some?

I don't think it would effect them at all. They're still babies and they like to peck everything in sight.

They'll be fine. Just babies exploring their environment. It won't hurt them. But provide grit so they can grind up the wood fibers.

yep. I'd say provide some form of grit free choice for them, and they'll pick it up as needed. All my chicks still love to snack on some pine flakes here and there...

I had a couple chicks with the pine chip addiction. I offered sand/grit to help break down the chips.
