Problems with fawn & white indian runner ducklings hatched 24-26 hours ago. I pulled them out of incubator after all hatching was complete, put them in brooder, and noticed a few of them have a red ring around that that is a bit raw/irritated. A couple even have damage on their bills. This is my second ever batch to hatch. First one was very successful. I started a second incubator for this hatch and noticed that the temp and humidity ran higher in it than I would have preferred. They also hatched 3 days earlier than expected. This batch of eggs was also collected during the mega snow/ice storm that hit the midwest in February, I was not expecting anything to hatch so I am happy that some did. However, I am concerned of the injuries these have and want to treat them so they stay healthy and learn what I did wrong so it doesn't happen again. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Congrats on the babies! Theyre adorable! Did you notice this as soon as you took them out of the incubator or after they had been in the brooder for awhile? It looks like something may have burnt them. Maybe inspect the set ups to see if you can pinpoint the issue.

Saw as soon as I pulled from incubator. I am thinking I may not have set it up correctly. Fortunately it's been 2 days and they are doing great!

No, didn't have to do anything for them. The burns I guess were more just irritated skin and after about 48 hours you couldn't tell anything had happened. Did find that the incubator temp was too high for hatching, so hopefully all will be good for the next batch!
