What happened?

I have 4 chicks that seem to all have the same dad, a salmon fraverolle, but I have some odd balls. Two chicks, a golden comet X SF and barred rock X SF, that have feathered legs and five toes, as they should. But the other two, same set of mixes, are different one has very lightly feathered legs but only 4 toes. The other has clean legs and five toes! What happened?
