I have 2 hens and a rooster. They are both brooding-one started sitting two weeks back and I'm expecting chicks on the 1st of November[IMG][IMG].The other one started sitting yesterday. Now my question is what happens to the rooster??? [IMG][IMG]I mean he has no one to...(you know).I will have little chicks running around soon so i don't need another hen to keep him busy. Will he be fine???

He will be fine, he will be ready when your chicks get old enough [IMG]

Don't worry about him, he'll be fine.

Many people keep their roosters in bachelor pens and only put them with selected hens for breeding, then pull them back out again. Bachelor pens are also a good way for people to keep roosters when they have too many for their flock but also are unwilling to cull them.
