The sound of the crunch as I walk on it........

The lack of vehicles on our otherwise busy front road.....

Need some positive thoughts before the day of toting water begins...............

The winter birds come to my feeder: cardinals, blue jays, chickadees, juncos, nuthatches, downy woodpeckers...

I don't have to weed the garden.

My hair seems to straighten better in the winter (less humidity), so I never have to worry about "bad hair days." [IMG]

The smell of the woodstove- especially if you throw a chunk of cedar in there!

The food- winter squash, potatoes, comfort food in general [IMG]
