Hi! I'm sorrry if this has been covered somewhere else (I'm on dial-up and if the info is in the DELAWARE thread --- I'd find it next week) .
Are they barred Columbian? How does that work?
I have 6 Del' teenagers (3 and 3). I'm not enjoying the mostly-white bodied birds with minimal barring (the color scheme *sounded* good, but in real life there is not much contrast).
Is that what they are supposed to be?
edit: What is the color /pattern ! I know the history.
I can see why they would be good 'meat-birds' --- these have grown quickly and have differently shaped bodies from any other chicken I've raised before.

What are Delawares? Huh? Wellllll ..... you must know ....

They are the lap puppies of the chicken world! At least mine are! And, beautiful ..... ooohhhhh so very beautiful. Oh, Lisa, I could go on forever, but it would be easier for you to read the Delaware thread FULL of stories!

ETA .... no, not barred columbian .... but I do not know that answer.
