What is a premium member?

So I don't know what forum this would go in so I just picked the top one. Anyway my question is what is a premium member is it something you buy or is it earned if it is something you buy what are the advantages of getting it, if it something you earn how do I earn it and what good would it be to earn this?

Memberships can also be upgraded through your account. Go to your account and then on the left, scroll down til you get to Settings, then Account Upgrade.
