What is a reasonable price to pay for peafowl?

Start by reading up on the 'Stickies' subjects at the top of the main Peafowl page. There are some really good threads that will help you understand the housing, breeding, and care for peafowl. As far as prices go there are so many colors and patterns the sky is the limit. Common colors can be had for as little as $25 for chicks or $3000 for a new rare color.

Holy smokes...three grand for a bird. I'm sure that's reasonable for some but I'm too new to follow that logic.

I paid 50$ per chick for mine, most hatcheries I looked at had them for no lower than 50 but I heard you can get them for as low as 10 in some areas.
