What is a Showgirl

I see them referred to in posts but don't know what they are- anyone with pictures?

That's the very first question I posted when I joined.

Some one put up a picture of the ugliest chicken I have ever seen. It was a show girl. I have been here 6 months and I still think they are the ugliest chicken on earth.

I just found a picture of one. Sorry guys, but I tend to agree with enola. snicker. I see where they get their name with that tuft of plumage on the top of their heads-they do look like head dresses.

I have 4 of them they are the cutest ever especially as chicks.I have 1 black showgirl chick and he/she is so cute.

I saw a post some where on here that someone had a showgirl roo named Liberace (not sure if I spelled that right) and I think there was another named Elton John. I thought that was soooo funny. I think someone should name their showgirl roo "Roo Paul"

I think they are fantastic looking but I'm not sure they would do well in my area due to the cold weather. I'm curious about them though.
