What is best meat birds

    I need to know what is the best kind of meat chicken. And what kind of chicken grows fastest for meat? Thanks let me know

    They are referred to as a CornishX or Cornish-Cross. Most usually they are just called "Meat Chickens", since this type of chicken is the industry standard. They grow to slaughter weight in less than 8 weeks.

    Why not just call Meyer Hatchery a few miles toward the east of you in Polk and get some?

    I don't have a working car right now. Trust me if I did I would be there in sec. Unless someone near me would be going there and I could give them some cash to pick me up some!

    They will ship.

    There are a lot of other hatcheries that sell and ship cornish cross too. Not sure if you'll find any on ebay since they're a hybrid.

    I only see cornish, no cornish cross.

    Welp has great prices on cornish cross and they don't charge extra for shipping as most hatcheries do. We have had great luck with them.
