I have 6 eight week old chicks and I want to add 5 four week old chicks. I just found some Buff Orpingtons and I just have to have them. Can I raise them in the same coop by putting up a divider so they stay separate but can see each other to get used to each other? The 6 I have I just got yesterday from a large group. They are still adjusting. Is it possible they won't realize there are 'different' ones among them? Please give me your opinions.

I have heard that the divider works great. I placed my 2 day old in with 1 1/2 weeks olds and they didnt really care... you can always just test it out? With my little guy I left him in there for a few minutes at a time and then just kept leaving him in longer and longer untill I felt comfortable enough. They all sleep in a bunch now... my little dude surrounded by the ladies [IMG]
