Just candled my 6 eggs and all i saw was a dark red spot. It wasn't a small red spot and it wasn't the whole egg, just in one spot. It has only been a couple days since i put them in the bator. What am I looking at? I can't see any veins or anything yet. Are my eggs fertile? I know my roos are doing there thing, i've see it. I'm going to candle them again in a couple days and see if there is any change.[IMG]

I completely agree. Wait about 4 or 5 more days and look for veins. You are probably just seeing evidence of fertility now. I would candle about once a week. But the last time, you might not see much when the chicks grow and fill up most of the egg.

It is suggested to candle at 7 - 10 days for the first peek, I believe. Remember, they are very fragile in there!
    Good luck!
