I hatched this little guy out from a white egg. Can anyone help identify what breed s/he might be? And also whether y’all think it’s a boy or a girl. Right now we call him a him, but I’m hoping he’s actually a she. He has purple iridescent feathers on his wings and his tail does have a bit of a greenish shine, but not nearly as much as my marans cockerel. His tail feathers are also more rounded and so are his neck feathers. He is a little younger than my other chicks but they’re all the same size excluding the silkie (but my flock is also much bigger and meatier than my sisters flock which are 3 weeks older than mine). He was hatched March 30th, so almost two months old. Also included a picture of him as a chick. He was a yellow chick and his beak started getting darker after 3-4 weeks.

I purchased from the local feed store. They sell “fertile” eggs that are laid by any pairs they have for sale. They typically have purebreds caged together, but who knows. I didn’t get a chance to take a look at what pairs they had when I purchased the eggs. I did purchase more eggs later and put them under my broody hen. All four that hatched look like Cochins.
