I know its probably nothing to worry about, I'm just curious. My Red Star has laid a few eggs with this stuff on them. It's almost like an egg powder of some sort. I was just curious. Thanks!

I'm not an expert but have heard of it as being extra calcium... anyone else?

yes I was thinking calcium deposits. I have some that do that and sometimes the deposits are different colors. I don't worry too much about it because who eats the egg shells anyway right? [IMG]

Does that mean she's getting too much calcium? Is there something I can or need to do to prevent this? We've only had our chickies a couple of months, and she's my only one old enough to lay. Except for the one we just got, but have only had for 3 days.
