I just read Bill Worrell's article on dry incubation, published in the learning center. The article mentions setting eggs. I've come across the phrase in other places, too. Am I right to assume that setting an egg means meerly to position an egg in the egg holder to incubate? I'm sorry, but it just isn't entirely clear to me. Can someone, please, clarify? Thanks, K

Setting an egg is simply putting it the appropriate environment for incubation to begin. That can be under a broody hen or inside a nice warm incubator.

Setting eggs is exactly that, placing them in an incubator or under a Broody hen to hatch out....setting a clutch of eggs (however many you want too) or have the room for...

I did the dry incubation like that guy talks about and all my eggs hatched. It worked great. It takes a while to get down with all the chicken lingo. Don't feel bad.
