    Hello all!

I bought a few sexed chicks a few months ago and I have no idea what this girl is. My son picked her from a few cages that were mixed together. I have heard she could be an Easter egger mix, although I don't think that the guy ha those. But who knows!

Any help identifying her would be very much appreciated! [IMG]

Could be a golden laced Wyandotte if not an easter egger. Or maybe a mix of breeds. Her feathers are gorgeous.

A Wyandotte mix would be great.....looking online he almost looked like a cornish hen and I am really hoping she's not! These are my first chickens so I'm still learning a lot but I know I asked for layers;)

Cornish hen is also a possibility but to me she looks like a mix. Her head looks just like an Easter Egger and the body could be a number of things. Is she laying yet? The eggs could help in the identification process. Her body size may also help.

Could you get a complete side-profile photo of her? I'm leaning towards her being a Dark Cornish, but I've also seen Easter Eggers that were colored like this.

No eggs yet, hopefully soon though! I attached more of a side view of her, no easy task she is so much more active, athletic and 'flighty' than my others![IMG]

I think it's a hatchery quality Dark Cornish.

She looks like a mixed breed pullet to me; primarily Dark Cornish but with a smattering of some other breed in her.

Dark Cornish aren't known for being stellar layers, true, but they do lay fairly well. They're supposed to be great broody mommas, though, that's specifically why I ordered some this year.
