What is the best feed brand for baby chicks

    I was just wondering what brand of feed is more beneficial for baby chicks

    I guess we are all partial but I've never tried one that didn't work if that is what you are getting at.

  3. Use a starter or grower as it has more protein that the chicks need.

  6. I like a protein content around 18% for chicks. I will feed 26% protein sometimes in the winter for some extra umph. I guess I don't have an endorsing brand. Layena seems to be popular everywhere I go. I have heard of poor reviews on DUMOR and have used it only one time without any health issues to speak of.
     
  7. Purina is a major brand that a lot of people use.

    do you wet the feed? and if so for how long? and when do you start feeding and water them? ty

    Provide them with fresh food and water right away. No, you do not wet the food.
