What is the best laying bantam breed

    I live in town and figured bantams would be easier to house. So out of the bantam breeds what do you think is the better layer? I was looking at sl wyandottes, because I like the look of them. But open to ideas. I need something that is cold hardy.

    I had light brown leghorn bantams that laid as well as production birds.

    I have duccle's they are my best laying bantam. There first year they laid right through winter and second year took a break.

    Avg: 4-5 a week
    Now again there second year there not likely to lay all winter. It will be sporadic unless you light the coop.

    But I have first time winter large fowls and they all stopped laying.. Ugh!!!

    Duccles have the cutest feather feet and they look positively goofy when they run.. They make me laugh!!

    Nope! Mine only go broody once.. I can always count on July being the time they do it..
    It's easy to break them of it though!!!
