    Hi all,
I have seen some really neat websites that different members have to show their chickens, hobbies, things they are selling etc.

I am wondering what is the best place to make a website for your self.

Ease of use, ease of making by yourself, free or extremely low cost.

    Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks very much for any suggestions!
    Appreciate it,
    Angela

You can make a web site right here. I did my BYC Blog web site using their web site tool. Just click below to see it.

    https://www.backyardchickens.com/web/viewblog.php?id=17397

Then you can see my personal wed site using the link below. Once there, you can go to View in Explorer then slide down and click Source. This will give you the HTML text for an image linked site.

    Hi,
    Any other suggestions?
Awww come on, I know there are folks here with websites.
Did you pay someone to design it?
Are you paying for hosting, space, etc??
Do you have a shoping cart?
    Paypal payment accepted?
    ETC....
    Anyone have any answers?
    Thanks,
    angela

I have my website hosted by Homestead, it is a division of Intuit and is extremely easy to use. My site is at the link in my sig. take a look, just remember that I am old and not that computer literate! [IMG]
I think you can see samples and pricing at homestead.com, if not google homestead.

Godaddy is cheap, but not free. Not real easy to use either as they change there program frequently trying to improve it....As soon as I get it figured out they change it again.

One problem with a lot of free services is that they do not get picked up by search engines so unless your viewers know the address they will not beable to find your page.

Microsoft Office Live will let you make 1 and host it for free for a year and then I think it's about $15 a year after that. Pretty simple to use too.
