What is the difference??????

    I would like to know what is the difference between crumbles and pellets????[​IMG]

    I believe the crumbles are for starting chicks once they are bigger you can switch them over to pellets. I usually just finish the bag then switch.

    Actually you can purchase crumbles in the layer feed too. The only difference between layer crumbles and layer pellets is the shape. I feed layer pellets in my adult coop and layer crumbles in my juvenile coop. I prefer the pellets as there is less waste.

    We raised Call Ducks for many years. We would grind the pellets in an electric coffee grinder.
    This grinder was for that purpose only. We always had pellets on hand for the mature ducks.
    ...when the Ducklings arrived ...we would grind the pellets and it worked fine.

    Chickens? Don't really know.
