I stumbled upon DNA/genetic based test where you place feathers or blood samples in the mail, and get a gender result within a few days, but each sample costs dozens of bucks to run.

I was wondering if any of you have used it, and what value you it has to you (why would anyone pay 10 times the worth of one chicken to determine its sex?), and what the most you would be willing to pay for such a service is, because I am thinking of starting a side-hobby-business if there is enough demand for you (The hobbyist).

    Many thanks,

I think that the people that use those type of services own birds like macaws... With chickens you only need to wait about 6 weeks to know the gender, so why pay extra money? I personally don't think it would be worth it.
