I've got one going on 9 months and no eggs. It's either an EE or a dud. My husband calls it a pet.

I had two brahma hens that didn't start laying until they were 9 1/2 months old, not all that unusual in a slow maturing breed.

We have a Black Australorp that is almost 28 weeks old and no eggs. She is our biggest chicken, too, and the other two that are the same age (GSL & EE) have been laying for 5-7 weeks. She just started doing the squat a couple of days ago so hopefully we'll see some eggs soon! We have three younger ones that are almost 21 weeks old that may beat her.
