What is this animal?

    First time I've seen this thing... looks like a fury tailed beaver!... young porcupine?
    Any ideas on what this is? I don't think it is a predator, but could be a pest if it starts breeding and eating my goats and chickens feed...

    They are big grazers and dig holes like mad. Dangerous for bigger hooved stock and tractors. No idea if they steal food, I have them but they don't come into the barn like last night's skunk did.
