This is my one rooster from all of the rescue birds I took in this year, I found him in a box with a ton of silkies and one little Cayuga duckling about six weeks ago. They were all sick but he, a black Silkie, and the Cayuga survived. He’s obviously Silkie (5 toes and hyper melanated) but mixed with what? Anyone have ideas what it may be? I’m thinking anything from Copper Maran to any of the Sweater/Kelso/Radio fighting game breeds popular here in Texas. He’s gorgeous but an absolute jerk and is beating up my gander. So he’s gotta go lol.

He definitely has some silkie in him. Black copper marans too. There's also some kind of game breed in him. Probably a bantam since he's so small.

I have no idea but he is pretty. Too bad he's a jerk....I have about 5 right now that are just like him. Jerks that is.

I keep offering to toss em in a box, toss in some scratch grain, punch a few holes in the box, tape them up and overnight them anywhere in the continental US.

Nobody will take me up on the offer....sigh. Guess I'm stuck with them.
